Welcome to 2nd Grade where the focus will shift from sounding words out in short written pieces to reading longer stories; where exploration in science and social studies is an adventure, and the learning never ends; where taking risks is encouraged, and making mistakes is all part of the learning process; where mathematics and being an investigative "problem solver" go hand in hand.  I can't wait to learn and explore with you this year!
